Maoni partnered with the UK Marketing team to develop their Next Generation Marketing Excellence (NGM) agenda to ensure that they continued to lead the way for the business and their customers including:

  • Developing a comprehensive NGM competency framework specific to each role and level with a supporting online self-assessment tool
  • Working with the leadership team and people managers to deploy and embed the framework and NGM, including workshops and off-site events
  • Cultivating a cross-team working party to build engagement and increase collaboration
  • Coached and worked with leaders on their leadership capability
  • Managed the development and implementation of the project

“Working with Maoni on this large complex project felt like true partnership working. Naomi and team learnt our business and tailored their approach to our culture. The team asked the challenging and curious questions – forcing us to stop, think and reflect. They coupled this approach with an excellent ability to coach us and share best practice, alongside continuous dialogue to ensure we delivered high-quality work together. We worked hard, they adapted well to what we needed, and I have to say, I laughed so much along the way with them. I really look forward to collaborating again in the future”

Fairfields is a primary special school for children with severe or profound learning difficulties, communication, physical difficulties and complex medical needs.

Maoni worked closely with the Headteacher, senior leadership team (SLT) and key stage leaders to:

  • Develop a cultural vision for the school post COVID, developing actions to deliver the cultural changes and review points on the journey
  • Coached and mentored leaders to develop resilience, management and communication strategies alongside other specific individual personal and professional development needs
  • Facilitated ways of working sessions to review working relationships and working practices to work smarter rather than harder
  • Tackling the underperformance of themselves or/and others
  • Improving communication and developing greater empathy
  • Navigating menopause and imposter syndrome
  • Developing inclusive leadership
  • Stepping into managing for the first time

‘Maoni has been a real asset to us as a school. The coaching and professional development we have received has been of a really high quality, enabling us to shape our practice through an effective balance of great challenge and support. Over the years of working with the Maoni team, we have built secure relationships where they have a good working knowledge of our setting and the leaders in school, as leaders we consider them one of the team. As the headteacher, at a time when leading a school is extremely challenging, the coaching I receive makes me a better leader, helping me think outside the box and gives me the headspace to think things through as well as supports my well being, which ultimately impacts the work we do as a school.’

Coaching

To maintain confidentiality we have provided testimonials here rather than specific examples. Examples of topics covered in previous coaching relationships:

  • Tackling the underperformance of themselves or/and others.
  • Improving communication and developing greater empathy.
  • Navigating menopause and imposter syndrome.
  • Developing inclusive leadership.
  • Stepping into managing for the first time.

‘I came into the process very aware that I had a number of areas to look at and was unsure where to focus. I found the first sessions very useful in having the freedom to roam wide in the conversation and, with prompting from Naomi, was able to reflect on my behaviours and gain insights into where I could make improvements for further work.

Some of these insights have led to a reframing of my thinking and a better outcome to events at work, particularly those around how I engage with my colleagues.

Further conversations have helped to refine the core assumptions that I’ve previously made that have limited my ability to deliver successful change and I feel that this will be invaluable insight as I move into a new role with it’s own set of challenges. Naomi’s open style worked well for me, helping to surface the underlying reasons behind some of my ways of working and then drilling down in more detail in further sessions.’
